Chinese in America

Concordia International School Shanghai students have created various National History Day projects that focus on the push-pull factors involved with Chinese immigration in the late 19th century, the difficulties immigrants faced coming through Angel Island, and the attempt by the Chinese in America to carve out a life, contributing to the development of the American West, but facing great difficulties through the process. See the following films and websites for student-created projects analyzing the Chinese in the American West.
